Review and Provide Feedback on PRO Housing Application

The draft grant application is available for public review and comment from September 26, 2024 through October 11, 2024.

To provide written comments or questions please use the contact information below.

The Planning Department (CPC) invites you to join us for a public hearing. We would like your input on the draft PRO Housing grant application, identifying project proposals in response to a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) issued by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This public hearing is part of the grant application process to receive community input.

This PRO Housing NOFO appropriates $100 million in funding for communities across the country to identify and remove barriers to affordable housing and production and preservation. The grant application outlines community development and affordable housing project proposals that will be supported with the federal funding source administered by the Planning Department and other City agencies during the grant period, slated for February 10, 2025 and ends on September 30, 2030.

The maximum amount of funding the City and County of San Francisco will receive from HUD is $7 million. Please note that at the time of this notice, the funding amount has not been awarded nor issued by HUD.

The draft PRO Housing grant application will be available for public review and comment from September 26, 2024 to October 11, 2024. The draft document will be available electronically for fourteen days prior to the hearing date listed above.

Members of the public who wish to provide feedback on the draft document, including funding recommendations, may do so at the October 10th public hearing or by submitting written comments to kris.romasanta@sfgov.org. The deadline for receiving written comments on the draft grant application and preliminary funding recommendations is October 11, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

If you have questions, please email Kris Romasanta at kris.romasanta@sfgov.org.
