San Francisco Planning will be joining our sister agencies at the new Permit Center, where 15 City agencies will co-locate to make construction, small business permits, and events in San Francisco easier for our customers.

Due to COVID-19, the Planning Department is not offering any in-person services, but we are operating remotely. Our staff are available by email, the Planning and Historic Preservation Commissions are convening remotely, and the public is encouraged to participate. Parking and Transit

On-street metered parking is available in the immediate area comprising Mission Street, Otis Street, Gough Street and South Van Ness Avenue (please note garages are often full by 9:00am or 10:00am).

Transit Options

SF Muni bus lines include the 14 and 49 lines along Mission Street (northbound) or Otis Street (southbound). For other transit lines, use the Market Street and Van Ness stops.
