Adding Garages and Curb Cuts

This guideline explains San Francisco Planning's procedures for the review of building permit applications proposing to add off-street parking and garage door design and placement to existing residential structures. The review requirements of other City agencies, such as the Department of Building Inspection (DBI) or San Francisco Public Works, are not addressed in this document.
