Port of San Francisco Waterfront Resilience Program

This project is part of the Sea Level Rise/Waterfront component of the Resilience and Sustainability program.

The Port’s program includes a series of coordinated projects working to ensure a resilient waterfront in the face of seismic and climate change related hazards.

The Port of San Francisco Waterfront Resilience Program includes a U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Flood Study for the entire Port waterfront, as well as a program to strengthen the three-mile-long Embarcadero Seawall from earthquake, flooding, and sea level rise risks.

San Francisco Planning staff are actively involved in these on-going efforts, providing support on urban design and community engagement. For more information, please visit the Port’s website.
