Covid-19 Closures and Cancellations Notice Effective March 17, 2020

Effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, the Planning Department will be operating under reduced capacity with most of our staff working remotely until the City’s Stay Safe at Home Order is lifted.

Our offices at 1650 Mission Street and the Planning Information Center (PIC) at 1660 Mission Street are closed, and the phones are not currently being staffed. Please e-mail pic@sfgov.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Parking and Transit

On-street metered parking is available in the immediate area comprising Mission Street, Otis Street, Gough Street and South Van Ness Avenue (please note garages are often full by 9:00am or 10:00am).

Transit Options

SF Muni bus lines include the 14 and 49 lines along Mission Street (northbound) or Otis Street (southbound); and the 47 bus line, stopping at South Van Ness and Market. Light rail lines that run along Market Street are within two blocks of our location. Exit at Van Ness Station and walk south toward Mission, turn and continue down Mission Street to the entrance.
