Housing Development Statutory Exemption (AB 130)
Signed by Governor Gavin Newsom on June 30, 2025, AB 130 creates an exemption from some environmental review requirements for certain housing development projects. To use this exemption, projects must follow labor rules and include a scoping consultation regarding the proposed development with any California Native American tribe that is traditionally and culturally affiliated with the geographic area.
How to Submit
Step 1 - Complete a Project Application (PRJ)
All applicants must first complete a Project Application (PRJ)
Step 2 - Complete and Submit AB 130 Supplemental Application
Complete the AB 130 supplemental application and submit both the Project Application (PRJ) and the AB 130 supplemental application to CPC.Intake@sfgov.org.
