3. General Public Comment
At this time, members of the public may address the Citizens Advisory Committee on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Committee but do not appear on the agenda. With respect to agenda items, the public will be given an opportunity to address the Committee when the item is reached in the meeting. Each member of the public may address the Committee for up to three minutes.
The Brown Act forbids a Committee from taking action or discussing any item not appearing on the posted agenda, including those items raised at Public Comment. In response to public comment on an item that is not on the agenda, the Committee is limited to:
- Briefly responding to statements made or questions posed by members of the public, or
- Requesting staff to report back on a matter at a subsequent meeting, or
- Directing staff to place the item on a future (Government Code Section 54954.2(a).

The scope of work includes legalizing existing auto repair and car wash uses, constructing an ADA-accessible restroom, office, cashier, and customer waiting area, installing tire storage shelving, and adding a new ADA-accessible parking spaces.
Action Item - Bayview Street Safety and Truck Relief Study
Staff from SFCTA will provide an overview of the Bayview Street Safety and Truck Relief Study. This study will develop a more complete understanding of large truck activity and impacts in the Bayview neighborhood and identify strategies to reduce conflicts between large trucks and other road users. This summer, SFCTA is conducting outreach to hear from the community about specific locations where they have experienced conflicts with large trucks, and their preference for strategies to address these conflicts. Using this feedback, SFCTA will develop draft strategies and share them with the community next spring.
Informational Presentation by San Francisco County Transportation Authority - Bayview Caltrain Station Location Study Update
Staff from SFCTA will provide an update on the Bayview Caltrain Station Location Study. The study is evaluating potential locations for a new Caltrain station in the Bayview to restore regional rail access to the neighborhood. The presentation will revisit the project's goals, evaluation criteria, and provide an update on draft location recommendations and next steps.
