Fee Schedule for Applications

Effective January 1, 2026, Planning calculates your development application fee based on your project’s estimated construction cost.

Update April 22, 2026: Section 5 Enforcement & Appeals, item M – a one-time penalty for the misrepresentation of tenant information on Planning and permit applications.

Update June 15, 2026: Sections 9 and 11, Environmental Evaluation Fees  – removed variable rate from fee calculations of $100,000,000 or more per Administration Code Section 31.21, Board File Number: 250888, Ordinance Number 220-25.

Full payment is required for your application to be complete. Payments may be made by cash, check (payable to “San Francisco Planning Department”), credit card or wire transfer. For wire payment instructions or questions contact cpc.wiretransfer@sfgov.org.
