Instructions for Calling-In to a Meeting

  1. DIAL the number listed for the meeting toll-free at 1 (415) 655-0001.
  2. Enter the Access Code for this meeting: 187 170 2412 then press #. If prompted for an Attendee ID, just press #.
    Please note: the Access Code will change for every meeting.
  3. Stop and LISTEN.
  4. Wait for Public Comment to be announced (by Item # or for General Public Comment).
  5. When the Commission/Hearing Secretary calls Public Comment, press *3 to raise your hand.
  6. Once you raise your hand, you will hear the prompt, “You have raised your hand to ask a question. Please wait to speak until the host calls on you.” If you no longer want to submit public comment, press*3 to lower your hand.
  7. Wait for your turn to speak.
  8. When you hear the prompt, “Your line is unmuted” – THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE YOUR PUBLIC COMMENT.
  9. The Commission/Hearing Secretary will indicate how much time you have to provide your comments. You will be alerted when you have 30 seconds remaining.
  10. Once your public comment time have ended, you will be moved out of the speaker line and back listening as a participant in the meeting (unless you disconnect).

Notice is hereby given to the general public that applications involving the properties and/or issues described below have been filed with the Planning Department for review as set forth in the City Planning Code. The Planning Commission intends to hold a PUBLIC HEARING on these items and on other matters on Thursday, April 1, 2021, beginning at 1:00 p.m. or later, in City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, Room 400.  Please be advised that due to the COVID-19 emergency, the Planning Commission may be required to conduct this hearing remotely. Additional information may be found on the Department's website.

2018-013692CUA:  2285 Jerrold Avenue – south side of Jerrold Avenue between Barneveld Avenue, Lot 007A of Assessor’s Block 5286A (District 10)  - Request for a Conditional Use Authorization pursuant to Planning Code Sections 121.6, 210.3, 210.4, 249.22, 303, and 304 to demolish an existing self-storage facility and construct a new 65-foot tall building that includes a 2,518 square foot commercial restaurant space on the corner, 174,663 square feet of commercial storage space on floors 1 to 4 and 120,000 square feet of self-storage space on floors 4 to 6. The Project includes 10 bicycle parking spaces, 15 vehicular parking spaces, and 6 loading spaces. The Project is within the PDR-2 (Core Production, Distribution, and Repair) Zoning District, the Industrial Protection Zone Special Use District, and the 65-J Height and Bulk District.A Planning Commission approval at the public hearing would constitute the Approval Action for the project for the purposes of CEQA, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 31.04(h). 2020-007565CUA: 1336 Chestnut Street – north side of Chestnut Street between Van Ness Avenue and Franklin Street, Lot 005 of Assessor’s Block 0479 (District 2) - Request for Conditional Use Authorization pursuant to Planning Code Sections 209.1, 303, and 317 to permit the demolition of the existing 2,287 square-foot, two-story single-family dwelling and the construction of a new four-story, 8,686 square-foot building containing four dwelling units within the RH-3 (Residential-House, Three-Family) Zoning District and the 40-X Height and Bulk District. A Planning Commission approval at the public hearing would constitute the Approval Action for the project for the purposes of CEQA, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 31.04(h). 2020-011265CUA: 1550 Wallace Street – north side of Wallace Street between Jennings and Keith Streets, Lot 027-028 of Assessor’s Block 4829 (District 10) - Request for Conditional Use Authorization pursuant to Planning Code Sections 210.3, and 303 to establish an approximately 8,000 square foot Industrial Agriculture use in the ground floor of the existing one-story Industrial building (no building expansion is proposed), within the PDR-1-B (Production, Distribution & Repair – 1 – Buffer) Zoning District and the 40-X Height and Bulk District. A Planning Commission approval at the public hearing would constitute the Approval Action for the project for the purposes of CEQA, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 31.04(h). 2017-015988CUA: 26 Hamilton Street – west side of Hamilton Street between Silliman Street and Silver Avenue, Lot 003 of Assessor’s Block 5918 (District 9) - Request for Conditional Use Authorization pursuant to Planning Code Sections 303 and 317, to demolish a two-story, 1,219 square feet, single-family dwelling and to construct a new, code-complying, three-story, 3,926 square feet, single-family dwelling and an accessory dwelling unit within the RH-1 (Residential House, One Family) Zoning District and a 40-X Height and Bulk District.  A Planning Commission approval at the public hearing would constitute the Approval Action for the project for the purposes of CEQA, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 31.04(h). It is strongly recommended that persons submit their comments in writing in advance of the hearing. Written comments may be submitted via email directly to the case planner.

Persons who are unable to attend the scheduled Commission hearing may submit written comments regarding these cases to the individuals listed for each case above via email or at the Planning Department, 49 South Van Ness Avenue, Suite 1400, San Francisco, CA 94103. Comments received by 9:30 a.m. on the day of the hearing will be made as part of the official record and will be brought to the attention of the Commission.

Pursuant to Government Code § 65009, if you challenge, in court, the approval of a conditional use, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
