Instructions for Calling-In to a Meeting

  1. DIAL the number listed for the meeting toll-free at 1 (415) 655-0001.
  2. Enter the Access Code for this meeting: 2487 389 3596 then press #. If prompted for an Attendee ID, just press #.
    Please note: the Access Code will change for every meeting.
  3. Stop and LISTEN.
  4. Wait for Public Comment to be announced (by Item # or for General Public Comment).
  5. When the Commission/Hearing Secretary calls Public Comment, press *3 to raise your hand.
  6. Once you raise your hand, you will hear the prompt, “You have raised your hand to ask a question. Please wait to speak until the host calls on you.” If you no longer want to submit public comment, press*3 to lower your hand.
  7. Wait for your turn to speak.
  8. When you hear the prompt, “Your line is unmuted” – THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE YOUR PUBLIC COMMENT.
  9. The Commission/Hearing Secretary will indicate how much time you have to provide your comments. You will be alerted when you have 30 seconds remaining.

Please be advised that due to the COVID-19 emergency, the Planning Commission may conduct this hearing remotely using videoconferencing technology or in-person at City Hall. 2021-007369PCA [Board File No. 210808] – Requirements for Laundromats and On-site Laundry Services: Ordinance amending the Planning Code to add Laundromat as a defined term, to require conditional use authorization for uses replacing Laundromats, and to prohibit Accessory Dwelling Units that reduce on-site laundry services unless replaced; affirming the Planning Department’s determination under the California Environmental Quality Act; and making findings of consistency with the General Plan, and the eight priority policies of Planning Code, Section 101.1, and findings of public necessity, convenience, and welfare under Planning Code, Section 302. 2018-004686CUA: 2350 GREEN STREET – northeast corner of Pierce Street, Lots 007 and 013 in Assessor’s Block 0538 (District 2) – Request for Conditional Use Authorization, pursuant to Planning Code Sections 134, 209.1, 303, and 304 to allow a Planned Unit Development (PUD) at the Saint Vincent de Paul School with an enrollment of up to 360 students. The proposal would include the renovation, expansion of the existing buildings (totaling approximately 4,400 square feet of net new area), and construction of a new elevated play area above the existing corner parking lot. The proposal includes a PUD modification to Planning Code provisions related to the rear yard (Section 134). The project site is located in a RH-3 (Residential-House, Three-Family) Zoning District and 40-X Height and Bulk District. NoPA Montessori). The project is located within an NC-1 (Neighborhood Commercial, Cluster) Zoning District and 40-XHeight and Bulk District. 2019-011944OFA/VAR: 660 3RD STREET – west side of Third Street between Townsend Street and Brannan Street; Lot 008 in Assessor’s Block 3787 (District 6) – Request for Office Development Authorization (OFA) and a Variance (VAR), pursuant to Planning Code Sections 145.1, 249.78, 305(c), 320, 321 and 322, to legalize 36,699 square feet of General Office use in an existing four-story, fifty-foot tall mixed use building within the Central SoMa-Mixed Use Office (CMUO) Zoning District, Central SoMa Special Use District, and a 65-X Height and Bulk District. The existing General Office use subject to legalization includes approximately 16,307 square feet on the first floor, 20,074 square feet on the second floor, and 318 square feet on the fourth floor. The Planning Commission previously authorized approximately 40,000 square feet of office use per Planning Commission Motion No. 19235. In addition, the Project requires a Variance from the Active Use requirements of Planning Code Sections 145.1 and 249.78(c)(1), since a General Office use is not considered an Active Use on the ground story within the Central SoMa Special Use District. 2021-000308DRP: 642 ALVARADO STREET – between Castro and Diamond Streets; Lot 044 in Assessor’s Block 2771 (District 8)- Discretionary Review of Building Permit Application no. 2021.0111.2473 for the addition of 9 ADUs at existing ground-floor parking level within existing envelope, per ordinance 162-16 within the RM-2 (Residential Mixed- Moderate Density) Zoning District and 40-X Height and Bulk District.  This action constitutes the Approval Action for the project for the purposes of CEQA, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 31.04(h).). 2021-000822DRP: 486 DUNCAN STREET – between Noe and Sanchez Streets; Lot 021 in Assessor’s Block 6591 (District 8)- Discretionary Review of Building Permit Application no. 2021.0629.3457 to legalize the demolition and reconstruction of exterior stairs and an approximately 10-foot 10 inches by 21 feet 10 inches second-floor portion of an existing three-story, single family residence within the RH-2 (Residential House- Two Family) Zoning District and 40-X Height and Bulk District. The proposal will also construct a new third floor roof deck at the rear of the subject building.  This action constitutes the Approval Action for the project for the purposes of CEQA, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 31.04(h).). Persons who are unable to attend the scheduled Planning Commission hearing may submit written comments regarding these cases to the individuals listed for each above via email or at the Planning Department, 49 South Van Ness Avenue, Suite 1400, San Francisco, CA 94103. Comments received by 9:30 a.m. on the day of the hearing will be made a part of the official record and will be brought to the attention of the Planning Commission.

Pursuant to Government Code § 65009, if you challenge, in court, the approval of a conditional use, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
