Notice is hereby given to the general public that applications involving the properties/and or issues described below have been filed with the Planning Department for review as set forth in the City Planning Code. The Planning Commission intends to hold a PUBLIC HEARING on these items and on other matters on Thursday, July 23, 2020, beginning at 1:00 p.m. or later, in City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, Room 400.  Please be advised that due to the COVID-19 emergency, the Planning Commission may be required to conduct this hearing remotely. 2020-002615CUA: 2000 Van Ness Avenue - northeast corner of Van Ness Avenue and Jackson Street; Lot 005 in Assessor’s Block 0595 (District 3) – Request for Conditional Use Authorization pursuant to Planning Code Sections 303 and 209.3 to establish a Personal Service use tattoo parlor (d.b.a. “Diamond Club Tattoo”) within the RC-4 (Residential-Commercial, High Density) Zoning District and an 80-D Height and Bulk District. The parlor is proposed at the 2nd level of the building facing the lightwell. The project was reviewed under the Community Business Priority Processing Program (CB3P). 2020-002262CUA: 3200 California Street - northwest corner of California Street and Presidio Avenue; Lot 038 in Assessor’s Block 1021 (District 2) – Request for Conditional Use Authorization pursuant to Planning Code Sections 303, 209.2, 249.21, and 724 to establish a Formula Retail Limited Restaurant (d.b.a. “Bean Sprouts”) within the Sacramento Street Neighborhood Commercial (NCD) and RM-1 Zoning Districts, the California Street and Presidio Avenue Community Center Special Use District, and a 65-X Height and Bulk District. The establishment is to be located within the existing community center lobby. The project was reviewed under the Community Business Priority Processing Program (CB3P). 2020-003177CUA: 621/635 Sansome Street - at Jackson Street; Lot 001 in Assessor’s Block 0196 (District 3) - Request for a Conditional Use Authorization pursuant to Planning Code Sections 184, 210.1, 239, and 303 for the renewal of a commercial Public Parking Lot, at the subject property located within the C-2 (Community Business) Zoning District, Jackson Square Special Use District, and Washington-Broadway Special Use District. This action constitutes the Approval Action for the project for the purposes of CEQA, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 31.04(h). 2019-012023DRP: 1856: 29th Avenue – between Noriega & Ortega Streets; Lot 004P in Assessor’s Block 2065  (District 4) - Request for Discretionary Review of Building Permit Application No. 2019.0517.1003 to construct a third story vertical addition with front and rear roof decks to a single-family home within the RH-1 (Residential House, One-Family) Zoning District and 40-X Height and Bulk District. This action constitutes the Approval Action for the project for the purposes of CEQA, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 31.04(h). 2019-016947DRP: 624 Moultrie Street – between Ogden and Tompkins Streets; Lot 005 in Assessor’s Block 5722 (District 9) - Request for Discretionary Review of Building Permit Application No. 2019.0904.0581 to construct a one-story vertical addition and a new roof deck, to single family house within the RH-1 (Residential House, One-Family) Zoning District and 40-X Height and Bulk District. This action constitutes the Approval Action for the project for the purposes of CEQA, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 31.04(h). It is strongly recommended that persons submit their comments in writing in advance of the hearing. Written comments may be submitted via email directly to the case planner.

Persons who are unable to attend the scheduled Commission hearing may submit written comments regarding these cases to the individuals listed for each case above via email or at the Planning Department, 1650 Mission Street, 4th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103. Comments received by 9:30 a.m. on the day of the hearing will be made a part of the official record and will be brought to the attention of the Planning Commission.

Pursuant to Government Code § 65009, if you challenge, in court, the approval of a conditional use, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
