Instructions for Calling-In to a Meeting

  1. DIAL the number listed for the meeting toll-free at 1 (415) 655-0001.
  2. Enter the Access Code for this meeting: 146 444 1860 then press #. If prompted for an Attendee ID, just press #.
    Please note: the Access Code will change for every meeting.
  3. Stop and LISTEN.
  4. Wait for Public Comment to be announced (by Item # or for General Public Comment).
  5. When the Commission/Hearing Secretary calls Public Comment, press *3 to raise your hand.
  6. Once you raise your hand, you will hear the prompt, “You have raised your hand to ask a question. Please wait to speak until the host calls on you.” If you no longer want to submit public comment, press*3 to lower your hand.
  7. Wait for your turn to speak.

Notice is hereby given to the general public that application involving the properties/and or issues described below have been filed with the Planning Department for review as set forth in the City Planning Code. The Planning Commission intends to hold a PUBLIC HEARING on these items and on other matters on Thursday, October 15, 2020, beginning at 1:00 p.m. or later, in City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, Room 400.  Please be advised that due to the COVID-19 emergency, the Planning Commission may be required to conduct this hearing remotely. 2019-017022CUA: 2839 24th Street – south side of 24th Street at the corner of Bryant, Lot 030 of Assessor’s Block 4267 (District 9) – Request for Conditional Use Authorization pursuant to Planning Code Sections 303 and 763 to establish a ground floor residential use under Planning Code Section 207.3 of an existing two-story mixed-use building and is seeking a modification to the required ground floor commercial use under Planning Code Section 145.4. The project would result in a total of four (4) dwelling units within the existing building in the 24th Street Mission NCT (Neighborhood Commercial Transit) Zoning District and 55-X Height and Bulk District. 2019-016595CUA: 1868 Greenwich Street – north side of Greenwich Street between Laguna and Octavia Streets, Lot 014 of Assessor’s Block 0056 (District 2) - Request for Conditional Use Authorization pursuant to Planning Code Sections 303 and 317 to permit the demolition of the existing 1,636 square-foot, 2-story single-family dwelling at rear of lot and the construction of a new 4-story, 7,178 square-foot building containing two dwelling units at front of lot within the RH-2 (Residential-House, Two-Family) Zoning District and the 40-X Height and Bulk District. A Planning Commission approval at the public hearing would constitute the Approval Action for the project for the purposes of CEQA, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 31.04(h). 2019-022108CUA: 1560 Haight Street – north side between Clayton and Ashbury Streets; Lot 016 in Assessor's Block 1231 (District 5) - Request for Conditional Use Authorization pursuant to Planning Code Sections 303, 303.1, 703.4, and 719 to establish a Formula Retail Use (d.b.a. 2nd Street USA) in an approximately 2,190 square foot vacant ground floor commercial space located in a three-story commercial and residential building.  The project site is located within the Haight Street Neighborhood Commercial Zoning District, Haight Street Alcoholic Restricted Use Subdistrict, Fringe Financial Service Restricted Use District, and a 40-X Height and Bulk District.  The proposal will involve tenant improvements to the ground floor commercial space. 2020-001942CUA: 1699 Van Ness Avenue – on west side of Van Ness Avenue between Sacramento Street and California Street, Lot 001 of Assessor’s Block 0642 (District 2) – Request for a Conditional Use Authorization, pursuant to Planning Code Sections 303 and 209.3, to install a new AT&T Mobility Macro Wireless Telecommunications Services Facility at rooftop consisting of installation of nine (9) panel antennas, and ancillary equipment as part of the AT&T Mobility Telecommunications Network. Antennas and ancillary equipment will be screened within FRP box. The subject property is located within the RC-4 (Residential-Commercial, High Density), and the 80-D Height and Bulk Districts. The subject property is located within the NCT (Ocean Avenue Neighborhood Commercial Transit District), and the 45-X Height and Bulk Districts. The project would add two energy storage enclosures to a residential development with approximately 250 dwelling units. The project site is located within the RTO-M (Residential Transit Oriented-Mission) Zoning District and 45-X Height and Bulk District. A Planning Commission approval at the public hearing would constitute the Approval Action for the project for the purposes of CEQA, pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 31.04(h). Persons who are unable to attend the scheduled Commission hearing may submit written comments regarding these cases to the individuals listed for each case above via email or at the Planning Department, 49 South Van Ness Avenue, Suite 1400, San Francisco, CA 94103. Comments received by 9:30 a.m. on the day of the hearing will be made as part of the official record and will be brought to the attention of the Commission.

Pursuant to Government Code § 65009, if you challenge, in court, the approval of a conditional use, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
