Notice is hereby given of consideration for adoption a General Plan Evaluation Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP) for Certain General Plan Evaluations (GPE). The purpose of the hearing is for the ERO to consider and make findings that feasible programmatic mitigation measures will be undertaken by the project. Once adopted, the mitigation measures are incorporated into the conditions of project approval.

2017-004921ENV:  650 Harrison Street / 180 Hawthorne Street - Lot 009 in Assessor’s block 3750, in an MUR – Mixed-Use Residential district, a 130-G Height and Bulk District, and within the SOMA Pilipinas Cultural District.  The approximately 11,090 square-foot (sf) (0.91 acre), L-shaped project site is located on the north side of Harrison Street, between Hawthorne and Third Streets, in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood. The proposed project would demolish the existing two-story commercial building on-site and construct a new 338,963-square-foot, 40-story, 410-foot-tall residential building with 320 dwelling units, comprising of 196 one[1]bedroom units and 124 two-bedroom units. Of the 320 units, 48 of the units would be rented as below market rate units. The project includes 39 vehicle parking spaces in vehicle stackers in an underground basement garage and one off-street freight loading space accessed from a separate entrance. On Hawthorne Street, five on-street motorcycle spaces and two on-street vehicle parking spaces would be replaced with a new sidewalk bulbout and a 44-foot-long passenger loading zone. On Harrison Street, four on-street vehicle parking spaces would be removed to accommodate the new sidewalk bulbout.

The Environmental Review Officer strongly encourages interested parties to submit their comments in writing to the assigned Planner prior to the hearing.
