Market & Octavia Area Plan Monitoring Report 2015-2019

This report covers the lingering impact of the 2008 global financial meltdown, and the gradual recovery, growth, and stability thereafter. The plan area has shown strong growth in the production of housing and commercial space, and has also received significant community improvements. The reporting period directly precedes the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing recession, meaning that many of these upward trajectories, as well as the financial projections, could look very different by the time the next report is published. Similarly, approval of legislation for the Market and Octavia Area Plan Amendment (Hub) was passed in July 2020, shortly after the reporting period came to a close.

The Planning Department issued this third Market & Octavia Five-Year Monitoring Report in 2021 and will cover the period from January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2019.
